From our first website interaction to our final farewell on departure the level of communication with the hotel team was exceptional and a welcome change form other places we have stayed at. We arrived slightly earlier than predicted - this in the main was due to how easy and efficient, not to mention value for money, the Lisbon Metro is. The welcome we got from the reception team was very friendly, easy going and efficient. In fact every meeting with a member of the hotel team was a pleasure, from the lovely lady ensuring breakfast ran smoothly to all the team we met on reception at several points during the day. A special mention to the young lady who went out of her way to help us on the last day when our BA flights was cancelled and the BA App was less than efficient. A great hotel team, especially in a smaller hotel, is really important and this young team were exceptional. Also a special mention to the lovely Flavia. The hotel for us was ideally situated 10 mins walk from Baxia-Chiada Metro station, in an area with some great local restaurants and bars, being only 5 mins from the river front. The iconic 28 Tram runs 30 metres from the hotel door. The hotel was fully booked, 19 odd rooms, yet you hardly heard a sound from anywhere, so the sleep quality was superb. The charming courtyard, bijou swimming pool and library room were great areas to relax around and the breakfast buffet options were great and we wanted for nothing. All in all, this hotel was a great find and elevated our stay in Lisbon to another level

My flight was delayed by an hour, but when I arrived at the hotel, Rafael was waiting for me with a delicious glass of red wine at the reception, and helped with my suitcase. The check-in process was fast and efficient. I was delighted to find myself in a comfortable room overlooking the courtyard with a beautiful view of the swimming pool and garden. The breakfast was outstanding, featuring a variety of local fruits, freshly squeezed juices, and all the offerings you’d expect from a high-quality boutique hotel. The shower facilities were excellent, and my room was spotless every single day. The bed was made impeccably, and each day I had a lovely handwritten note with tips on where to go, along with a different treat. One day, it was port wine; another day, delicious custard tarts; and on the last day, I was surprised with some delightful chocolates. The hotel provided mineral water daily, and the reception lobby offered fruit-infused water and tea, such thoughtful touches! The service was impeccable, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Special thanks to Rafael, Roberta, Beatriz and Hassan! I extended my stay by one day and made a last minute booking via Booking.com. The team handled everything seamlessly without making me feel awkward. They even allowed me to stay in the same room, which was amazing. This hotel exceeded all my expectations. I loved Lisbon, and my stay here was a big part of that. I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended! Fantastic customer Service, service was great!

Staff is exceptionally well trained, welcoming, friendly, catering. The atmosphere of the building, inner courtyard, rooms, breakfast room... is lovely. We had a special occasion to celebrate and the staff made sure we had the best experience (we loved our room selection with a view of the inner courtyard, found a handwritten congratulatory note and cake in our room upon checkin, were offered a complementary glass...). The beds were good and we slept solid: quite firm mattrass which we enjoy, bedding and pillows were nice and fluffy. The breakfast buffet is enjoyable and offers enough options (same each day), but we'd recommend going for breakfast as there are a lot of cute breakfast places in the environment. We had an exceptionally pleasant stay here, and would warmly recommend the hotel to anyone!

The hotel is conveniently located next to the tram 28 stop (a 3-minute walk) and the ferry/metro/train station (a 10-minute walk), making it easy to explore the city. The staff is helpful and able to provide recommendations, and they are more than happy to assist with bookings, ensuring we made the most of our vacation. In the bathroom, we were delighted to find my favorite soap and shampoo from Rituals, and we were provided with extra towels for the swimming pool, which, although small, was enjoyable. In conclusion, the decor was charming, the beds were comfortable, and the ambiance was inviting, but it was truly the exceptional staff that turned our vacation into an unforgettable experience.

Staff so friendly and helpful. Tomas welcomed us on our first night and was able to give us excellent recommendations for our week - tourist attractions and places to eat. Gorgeous buffet breakfast, kept us full for all our wandering during the day. Beds very comfy, room clean and tidy. Turn down service every night and some added extras were a lovely touch. Outside, this hotel is on the Tram 28 line, and walking distance (uphill!) to Praça Luís de Camões. Great restaurants and Pasteliers all locally. They also have Rituals products in the bathrooms which are lovely to use. Would recommend anyone to stay here if visiting Lisbon, thank you for a great stay.
